A/C- heating and Cruise Control not working on 92 Olds Achieve.?

Its a 1992 V4 2.3L Oldsmobile Achieve S. I recently replaced the alternator and after working for two or three days, the A/C-heating and cruise control no longer work. The A/C-heating turns on when the selector is moved from ';off';, but all functions produce the same result: a blowing from all vents, with no heating or cooling effect. The fan speed is still selectable, and when the temperature control moves from cool to warm, it seems to make lose the sound of the compressor. Also, happening at seemingly the same time, all cruise control functions stopped working altogether.

sounds like a vacuum leak, your a/c+heat blend doors and cruise control are run by engine vacuum.A/C- heating and Cruise Control not working on 92 Olds Achieve.?
try checking the anti-freeze coolant level. also it could be a fuse issue. you might also check the serpentine belt, if your alternator went out, it could have been broken/ worn. if someone else put it on, it might not be in alignment to turn your a/c compressor. good luck!
