The lights for the a/c controls in my 96 Grand Caravan started flashing on/off 3 or 4 months ago.?

Then, the a/c started making a clicking noise (not all the time). Once in a while the a/c would cut off, then cut back on. Recently, when you turn the car off, the a/c would stay on (it's done this a few times)??????? I would have to turn the control to turn the blower off ... never had to do that before!?? Then, the a/c would not turn on right away when you started the car, it would take a minute before starting, then it would come on and be fine. Now the a/c is starting to shut off while driving, then will cut back on. I know it's not the compressor or the relay switch. Does anyone know what it could be?The lights for the a/c controls in my 96 Grand Caravan started flashing on/off 3 or 4 months ago.?
Your A/C system is low on freon. Go to Pep Boys and buy a recharge kit for $30. My truck did the same thing. After recharging, it worked great....ice coldThe lights for the a/c controls in my 96 Grand Caravan started flashing on/off 3 or 4 months ago.?
The reason it is flashing is because the A/C Control unit has a fault code/error in it. The problem is the A/C %26amp; Heater control unit, it will need to be replaced. It is expensive.
The lights to the a/c controls and the rear wipers flash when the a/c control head has an error and just usually needs to be recalibrated. This almost always happens after the battery dies or is disconnected. To recalibrate it, the a/c must pass a cool-down test, so if the a/c is not cooling, it may not recalibrate. With the a/c on, push and hold the far right and left buttons at the same time until all the lights start flashing, then let go. Have the doors closed and the windows up, since it is trying to reach a target evaporator temperature. This takes a couple of minutes and you'll notice the air will change direction from the vents to defrost to floor, etc. After this part, the lights should be flashing in a sequence. Sometimes this corrects problem and all is well, to see turn car off and back on. If not, push and hold bottom and top buttons the same way you did left and right. If that doesn't correct it, it's off to the dealer for further diagnostics.
