When i try to go into control panel, i get an error: c:\windows\explore.exe needs to close due to an error.??

What is up? I think I have a virus from a download or something. I tried to go to delete programs and this error keeps popping up. I use Mozilla Firefox, not Explorer. This may be a vius but it may just be a corrupted system file. Try running the system file checker. Click start then run and in the run box type sfc /scannow and click ok. first run a virus scan with a good updated anti virus, i suggest using avg8 .update it and run a full scan on the computer and remove all infections


if the problem wasn't solved yet, right click on taskbar%26gt;properties%26gt;start menu properties tab%26gt;customize%26gt;advanced


make control panel; display as a menu and then apply.


try opening control panel from start menu and it should open and then i think u will be able to delete some programmes as u wish
