C Grub: Cockchafer larvae COLEOPTERA: Scarabaeidae: photo to identify, control & possible damage to plants?

I found a grub in my garden at the base of a young citrus tree, it is about 4cm long and has a number of spots along its side and a large round one on its back, colour is darker twoards the back end but is more like a dark cream to light brown along the body. Please can you help to identify and tell me if I need to try and control same. thanksC Grub: Cockchafer larvae COLEOPTERA: Scarabaeidae: photo to identify, control %26amp; possible damage to plants?
