I just recently went off of birth control b/c it was keeping me from losing weight...?

So I got off of them and i immediately started noticing a difference in my weight. I work out 5 days a week and i have been since i was 17(im 23 now). Thing is, i really dont want to get pregnant, even though I am married, we just arent ready yet. K so my question is will condoms work just as good?I just recently went off of birth control b/c it was keeping me from losing weight...?
The pill doesnt prevent you from losing weight, but a side effect is increased appetite so this cvould be why you are not losing weight. Try different pills, as they have different formula's.

Other than condoms you could also try other methods such as:

The injection, but this has a similar effect to the pill with regards to increased appetite, as does the implant. Both of which use hormones.

You could also try an I.U.D which is an interuterine device (excuse my spelling) this is sometimes called the coil and is inserted into the cervix to prevent pregnancy. This one needs some serious consideration as although rare it can cause some major complications. But it doesnt use hormones, is very long lasting (up to five years i think) and doesnt mean messing around everytime you have sex.I just recently went off of birth control b/c it was keeping me from losing weight...?
Condoms by themselves aren't as effective as the pill, and they can be kind of inconvenient.

However, if used properly, all the time, and combined with spermicide, they are just as effective. Always have PlanB on hand, in case the condom breaks.

If you didn't have good luck with the specific type of pill, you can try Yaz or Yasmin if your kidneys are healthy. Most women lose a bit weight with those 2 pills because of the unique progesterone.
Condoms are effective, but aren't as effective as the pill. Why don't you find another pill? I'm sure there's one that will still allow you to lose weight.
