With all the new birth control pills on the market and for not being on one for so long, I'm a bit naieve about how the new ones work. Back in the day you had to take the whole first pack before you were okay not to have a back up birth control method. Are the new one's the same way? I tried reading the pamphlet and it doesn't mention a timeline. Does anyone know about this? Thanks.I recently went on Apri birth control after 10 year of being off. How long does one need a back up b/c method?
If you start taking your birth control the first day of your period then you will protected after the first week. If you start any other time you will be protected after a full cycle of pills.I recently went on Apri birth control after 10 year of being off. How long does one need a back up b/c method?
Im on Desogen (the name brand of apri)
Its still the same rule of thumb 1st pack
