St John's Wort destroys them, Nicotine raises the possibility of deep venous thrombosis, and some anticonvulsants maight have stronger effects in combination with birth control pills. Theonly vitamin that can have an adverse effect on pregnancy is vitamin A, wich can cause severe birth defects. Women taking the contraceptive pill should not take excessively large doses of vitamin C (1000mg or over) as it may reduce the effectiveness of the pill
