You always risk the chance of pregnancy (and stds) when you don't use the proper protection. I'd hate to tell you that it's safe to do this once on birth control for over one month and you be one of the small percentage of women who get pregnant while on the pill. My best advice would be to be smart about it. If you feel that taking the chance is ok, and that you could care for a child if you were to become pregnant, then by all means do what you please. Just remember that if you ever take antibiotics you should use condoms during the rest of that cycle, because they can interfere with the activity of the pill.
