They told me it was the a/c control head. When I called around and asked how much or looked online, no where or nobody knew what this was. Is it called something else also? I asked if it was the control panel, climate control, compressor, so on and so on. But NO they still tell me its the control head located behind the control panel. Is there another word for an a/c control head for a car? I was told that was what is wrong with my car.?
Depending on the type of car, the control head will be one complete assy if it's electronic. If not electronic, then the control head is indeed located behind the panel, it's the unit that moves cables, controls vacuum, and sends power to a/c clutch. It is normally called a control head, but may be referred to as an actuator as well, or selecter even. You dont say if it's the vacuum part or the cable part, or what your problem is, but hope this helps...Is there another word for an a/c control head for a car? I bet you've got alot of us scratching our heads too, I know I am...the only thing I can think of is, on high end ';climate control'; systems, there are electronic control ';modules'; that sense the temp you set, and maintain it with either a/c or heat. If that is what you are talking about, those are big bucks...
What kind of car is this?
